Halloween

Here are some pictures of our cute Halloween kiddos. On Friday we went to the ward party, but because we are on the activities committee and were busy, I forgot to take the camera. We had a really fun time and the kids got to go trunk-or-treating with Granana and Papa. Scott won "The Head of the Class Costume Award" for his nerd costume. It was so great - I'm still trying to talk him into dressing back up so I can get a picture, so check back for that one. He said he got some nice, but totally insulting compliments like, "That's the real deal right there" "Does that hurt?" and "Nobody could be a better nerd." He had his pants pulled up to his chest, a plaid shirt with a pocket protector full of pens, pads of paper and a calculator. He also had a slide rule hooked to his pants, white socks and black shoes with TP hanging out the back. Of course he also had a fancy hair-do and big glasses. Anyhow, it was good.

On Halloween, Scott had school (perhaps that nerd thing was right) so we went to Granana and Papas for a bit of trick-or-treating. We couldn't slow Drew down for anything - he bounced from house to house (even before eating any candy) and was so excited to be dressed as a scary skeleton. Taylor was a little irritated by the whole costume thing, but as soon as he realized that people were putting candy in his little bucket - oh boy - he sure got a little bounce in his step too. He would hold out his bucket and then when the person would put candy in, he would look in, examine it and then say "OOOOOOO." It was very cute. Both of them had a great time and I think Granana and Papa enjoyed themselves too as they got to meet and see all their new neighbors. When we got home, Taylor sat right down on the sidewalk and starting digging trough his candy. And, Drew started eating his candy and it took hours before his sugar buzz wore off. It was a great time.
