Aunt Apple and Mendy

We got a call from Penelope and she asked if we would like come company. Of course we love it when she visits, so the kids and I headed to San Antonio to pick her and Mendy up. While we were in San Antonio, we went to the Riverwalk and also to the Alamo. (I'm getting to be quite a good San Antonio tour guide.) Then we got to spend a girls night out - we got all dressed up and went down to 6th Street. We even got to see Leslie thong and all.

One afternoon we went to Wimberley Glass Works and got to see a glass blowing demonstration. It was very hot, but really fun to watch as they made a vase. I would love to have been able to afford a piece, but they were quite spendy. Then we wandered around some small shops in Wimberley, but not for long as they weren't exactly stroller friendly. Oh well.

Scott took the night off of studying and we went to Z'Tejas and also to my very favorite place, Amy's Icecream. One evening we also spent some time listening to Mendy play some lovely tunes - we also got to join in with Scott on the drums, Penelope on the maracas and me on the tambourine. Great fun - we should do it again sometime!
