Because Sea World is only about an hour and a half away from us, we got some season passes. This is the second time Scott and the boys have gone (they went when I was in Vegas and didn't have the camera),but the first time for me. We went down with our friends the Von Paumgartten's and spent about half the day there. It wasn't a ton of time, but we were able to go to the Shamu show, which Taylor loved. At least until they got all four killer whales to splash us with their tails, because then he was quite ticked. We thought we might get a little wet because we were at the top of the "splash zone" - oh no, for some reason, Taylor and I got hit hard - we were soaking wet. But, before we got totally drenched, he was having so much fun watching the "fishies."
We also were able to go on a couple of rides, eat some lunch and go to the sea lion and walrus show. That was quite funny - they had a cute little show about a bunch of fish that had gone missing, so the sea lions were the detectives. They eventually discovered "Uncle Max" had been eating all the fish. But, he said he was sorry, and did some sit-ups to work off all that food.
It was a good day - unfortunately we had to hurry home, but I'm sure we will go back soon.
