The Rest of Hong Kong

So, in my lack of internet I forgot to post the last day of our trip in Hong Kong and a couple of other side notes. Okay, so our last day in HK was Sunday, so we decided that we would go on a hunt to find the temple. So, we took the train to North Kowloon and then walked until we found it. It was, of course, beautiful. It is actually in a fairly quiet part of Kowloon - there are a lot of apartments and schools, but not a lot of business around there, so it was nice and quiet. We had hoped to be able to attend a session there, but with the kids and stuff it just didn't work out, so it was at least nice to go and see it. Here are a couple of pictures.

So, some other funny things about Hong Kong is that they treated Drew like a baby - it was nice in the respect that we didn't really have to pay for him for anything. He could ride the train free, eat free (a lot of the time) and stuff like that, but it was also funny because this is the bed they brought for him to sleep in. Including a nice packet of baby supplies.

In Hong Kong, the food, places and people smell like fish and mothballs. Everywhere you go - fish and mothballs. Really not an appetizing combo.

If you ever want to go to Hong Kong, here's my opinion- stay on the main island and visit Kowloon. Not the other way around.

So, I think there was more, but my brain is not working. Anyhow, we enjoyed our time there and I'm glad that we took the time to visit.
