Time Out

This weekend myself, my mom, my little sister Jordan and my sister-in-law Afton all went to Time Out for Women in Vegas baby! It was so much fun to be able to spend time with them and also to get to go hear some good stuff too! So, Jordan had been hanging out with us in Austin for a few days, so we hopped on a plane together (yes that's right, Scott stayed home with the kiddos) and flew to Vegas.
But, before we left, we stopped at the airport store and got ourselves some giant hot tamales - Texas style. Then we arrived in Vegas and were picked up by Cam, Afton and cute Carolyne. We hung out with them (minus Cam) on Friday and waited for Jordan's car to arrive. The car brought with it Mom and Dad, so we were happy to see them too. Then we went and got checked into The Golden Nugget hotel- they have the coolest pool that surrounds a shark tank - it also has a water slide that goes through the tank. Crazy. Anyhow, then we went to Time Out. It was of course wonderful. The best part, though, was just hanging out with the girls. That night, we stopped by a really scary Albertson's and thought we would take our picture. Don't worry, I'm in the picture too, you just can't see me.
We headed out to the strip for a little while to check out the light show and some death defying motorcyclists, but then we went to bed because we had to be up early. Saturday at Time Out was also awesome. Hillary Weeks was the hostess - and I totally love her music, so I was quite enjoying myself. There were also a bunch of really good speakers (some were a little boring, but that's where the gigantic hot tamales came in handy - nothing like a bit of fire in the mouth to get you perked up). It was a great day - and we topped it off by going to this very delicious buffet.
On Sunday we celebrated Carolyne's 2nd birthday. It was fun for us, but I'm afraid she wasn't having such a great time. Especially after Granana gave her those unders! Nice one Granana! :-)
Then it was time to head home - but it was a wonderful weekend. And, when I got home, my boys were all very happy because Scott had taken them to Sea World!
