Austin Zoo

We went with Drew's preschool class to the Austin Zoo. Now, I think the Singapore Zoo truly corrupted us because it was the most incredible zoo ever, but honestly, the Austin Zoo leaves much to be desired. That said, I do respect what they stand for - because they are a rescue zoo. Most of the animals that are there have been rescued from some bad situation or another. I knew that before we went, and I knew they had some birds, goats and other farm animals, but I was a little surprised that the had a large number of lions, tigers and other big cats. (And they are shockingly close.) They even had a black bear. It turned out to be a fun experience.
