Garden Update, Mom's B-day, Chinese Dragon Boat Festival and Farmers Market

We have had so much fun with our garden this year, not to mention that it is really relaxing to sit on our patio and look at all that green. Today we had our first harvest...peas. And, they were delicious. We have a bunch of green tomatoes, some teeny zucchini, our green beans are starting to bloom and our herbs are getting big. The lettuce and spinach should be ready soon. We can't wait to be able to eat it all!

After we checked on our garden for the day we headed off to the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival at the lake in downtown. They had a bunch of performers, a bounce house, dragon boat races (of course), and a bunch of other booths. We took our camera, but totally forgot to take any pictures. Drew's favorite part of the day was learning how to do CPR - he practiced on the manequin and everything. It was fun.

After the boat festival, we headed over to the Sunset Valley farmers market. We wandered around in the humidity, and then got some popsicles and Middle Eastern food. And, of course we got ourselves some leeks - yum.

We also thought about mom today lots as it was her birthday. She celebrated at her favorite place on earth - Disneyland. We love you Mom!
